Letter from the Chancellor

Updated: Jun 13

Dear EIIHS Community,

Welcome to the inaugural issue of our quarterly newsletter!

Just about one year ago, my co-founders Dr. Aram Akopyan, Benjamin Saez, and Dr. Georgette Young asked me to join them on this profoundly meaningful journey to establish an institution dedicated to the study of medicine in its most sacred form— natural, holistic, integrative.

I didn’t think twice to say yes to their call.  My personal battle with chronic illness, marked by labels that barely grazed the surface of the root cause, mirrors the frustrations many patients face.

Patients want answers and genuine care, a concept too often sidelined in modern Western medical practices, which have strayed from their noble origins.

At the European Institute of Integrative Health Sciences, we champion medical disciplines that, despite being dismissed as "alternative" or "complementary" by mainstream society, boast a rich heritage predating contemporary medicine by millennia.

This January, our Community Clinic illustrated the transformative power of our approach. A patient, long dismissed by numerous doctors across Europe for her dermatological condition as psychosomatic, found relief and felt truly seen and cared for under our care. This moment epitomizes the essence of healing.

As we navigate our inaugural year, EIIHS is already making a significant impact. This spring, we're excited to expand our curriculum to include Phytotherapy and Ayurveda and introduce a more flexible learning model to accommodate part-time students.

The future of EIIHS is bright, and we are eager to see the positive influence our students will have on the world.

Thank you for embarking on this journey with us.

With love and gratitude,

Allison Simpson
